Group CEO, Bates PanGulf (BPG), Avi’s career spans Marketing Services, Media, Private Equity and Government sectors. Over the last 29 years, Avi has been involved in 6 significant startups and 4 acquisitions and could be probably described as a ‘serial entrepreneur’. At the helm of the BPG Network since 1991, he has successfully assisted in the conceptualization and implementation of a number of key Dubai initiatives - the Dubai Quality Award, Dubai Shopping Festival and Dubai Internet City to name a few. An alumnus of the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, Avi sits on the Board of Manzil, a school for challenged children, and is Chairman of International Media Ventures, publishers of Dealmaker and Trader Middle East.
Hari is currently Executive Chairman of the Encore Group, an ecosystem for entrepreneurial early growth companies he set up early this year, which provides a complete range of services to investees. Before setting up Encore, he was the Chief Strategic Advisor for 3i infotech Ltd. and formerly Deputy Managing Director of the company’s worldwide operations. His professional experience includes over 24 years of varied experience in India and the Middle East. He set up Insyst Technologies in 1986, a MENA region leader in ERP and Insurance segments. An engineer from IIT Kanpur, he set up Reach 4 India in 2008, a Pan IIT alumni-supported organization focused on social entrepreneurship that has set up a number of vocational training Gurukuls for the underprivileged in India. He is currently Chairman of Pan IIT Alumni India, the apex body for alumni of all IITs.
Mohit is a Senior Relationship Manager, Commercial Banking with Barclays Bank PLC, Dubai. Prior to this, he has worked with Emirates Bank, Dubai, Standard Chartered Bank, India and ICICI Bank, India. He is an Electronics & Instrumentation Engineer and has worked in Steel and Oil sectors in India for a brief period. He completed three years in Dubai last month and is an active volunteer with ‘Junior Achievement’ (INJAZ), an organization dedicated to educating students about entrepreneurship and financial literacy.
Neeraja moved to Dubai more than a decade ago, and joined A F Ferguson & Co. (AFF) in their Management Consultancy Division. She has worked on various assignments in the GCC, Iran, Hong Kong and India in the HR, Marketing, and Process areas, apart from heading AFF’s Executive Selection practice in the region. She worked with ITC and Digital Equipment (India) Limited in prior positions while in India. She has 2 daughters aged 14 and 9 and her husband is a Managing Director with Mashreqbank.
Prashant is a Senior Associate with Tameer and works in the areas of Commercial and Strategic advisory. Prior to joining Tameer, he has worked for Al Rajhi Investment Group scouting for opportunities for business growth & acquisitions and advising portfolio company managements. He has earlier worked with JP Morgan and Accenture in Investment Banking and IT consulting respectively. He moved to Dubai in 2008 and has been actively supporting NGO and Cultural activities of the Pan IIM Alumni Network since its inception. He is an Engineering graduate from Bangalore University.
Pummy is the Head of International Business for Polymer Technologies, part of ITW Inc., a Fortune 500 company featuring regularly in Fortune’s annual listing of the Most Admired Companies in America. A Mechanical Engineer from I.I.T. Bombay and a gold medalist from I.I.M. Bangalore, Pummy has over 25 years of experience with the delivery of niche technologies to global markets. In his 15 years with the company, he has expanded the customer base to over 50 countries across the world through a global network of partners and subsidiaries. Pummy is a frequent speaker on technology forums at industrial trade shows and conferences.
Rasleen is a Credit Analyst with the Corporate Banking Division of First Gulf Bank. Prior to this, she has worked with IBM India as a Product Manager, and Centre for Environment Education, India, as a Programme Coordinator for Climate Change Education. In Dubai for close to 3 years, she was instrumental in setting up the Pan IIM Alumni Network in UAE, and is currently the moderator and principal organizer of the Network’s activities in the UAE. She is an Economics graduate from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University.
Ali is the CEO of Solutions Middle East (SME), which he founded in 1996. SME is today a leading regional ICT System Integrator and serves over 2000 blue chip customers in the Middle East and South Asia from its offices in UAE, KSA & Qatar. Ali is an Electrical Engineer from IIT Kharagpur. Before venturing to Dubai, he worked with Engineers India Limited, TISCO and Wipro in India. Ali is a member of The Indus Entrepreneurs, the Indian Business & Professional Council (IBPC) and the American Business Council, and is an active supporter of the Dar Al Ber Charity in UAE and United Islamic Aid in India.
Snehanshu is currently working as Vice President and Head of Multinational Corporations Unit in Corporate Banking of First Gulf Bank. He has over 15 years of experience in corporate banking. He has worked earlier with HSBC, ICICI Bank and National Bank of Dubai. Snehanshu is also a Charter Holder of the CFA Institute, USA. Snehanshu has been in UAE for over 5 years and has been actively involved in IIM alumni activities.
